Internet Freedom advocacy intensified in different countries in Southeast Asia in the past 3/4 years. Different national coalitions and collaborations emerged in countries like Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia because of repressive cyber policies and social/political developments. This session will map the Internet Freedom coalitions and collaborations in SEAsia (and maybe South Asia), nationally, and regionally. It will also highlight the experiences of women who have joined and lead these coalitions in including gender in the coalitions’ agenda.
