Sharing tactics, tools and practices for system administrators + security for web developers (Florencia Herra vega)
Those who Administer systems at NGOs or civil society groups face specific issues, they are often the only person in their organization, and will have scarce resources. At the same time their role becomes more and more important. The aim of this workshop and skill share is to get these people in a room and discuss common challenges, solutions and best practices. At the same time we hope to get sys-admins from providers and/or software projects in the room to make sure to have a broad range of experiences and feedbacks about tools that are used to try to solve problems. We hope to leave the room not only having shared information but also with a kind of wishlist on things that need to improve to make the work of the NGO sysadmin easier and better.
