The Central American Observatory register and analyze digital security incidents of human rights defenders who are exercising their rights to defend human rights in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and / or Nicaragua. DigiMon initiative monitor incidents of digital rights violation in Malaysia.
In a “ping-pong” Southeast Asia-Central America, we are going to present both projects answering questions such as: Why did these ideas came up? What professionals integrate the staffs? How are the incidents reported? How are the incidents registered? How the projects respond to the incidents? What is done with the information collected?
After the presentation, a conversation place is going to be opened, where attendees can share their knowledges and experiences, telling if they know similar projects and if they think their work could be incorporated to these projects.
