Since November 2016 till now NilePhish operators launched the widest, most sophisticated hacking attacks and campaign against independent human rights groups and activists in Egypt targeting their accounts, we were able to document and analyze 92 attack and published our findings on 2 February 2017. We also noticed NilePhish continued their attacks after our publication with slight changes in their methods, and we were contacted by a number of additional targets and received more submissions as recent as 28 February 2016. In this session we will present how did NilePhish adopt social engineering methods to target the activists, how did it happen, what was the tactical shift this time? what can we all learn?
